A DRONE has captured a spectacular footage of a frozen Talkin Tarn during the recent cold snap. The picturesque scene was captured by Carlisle based photographer Alastair Herd and was recently posted on the Discover Carlisle Facebook page with the message: We know you can’t visit right now. You must stay at home. We will continue to share our content - and we look forward to welcoming you back soon. The footage comes as more icy weather was forecast by the Met Office yesterday. It issued a yellow weather warning and stated that further rain and freezing temperatures may result in icy patches across the area.
