Wentworth, N.C. Western Alamance earned another Mid-State Athletic 2A/3A split Conference road win over Rockingham County.
The Warriors edged out a 3-2 result behind home runs from sophomores Taylor Apple and Carley Minter in the latter part of Tuesday evening’s game. Western came into the week ranked No. 5 in the midseason HighSchoolOT Top 25 East softball poll, while Rockingham County cracked the West list at No. 21.
