EDWARDSVILLE Four people were charged with aggravated battery or assault after an Alton incident on West Third Street Saturday.
Berton L. Newton, 29, Lasha R. Newton, 31, and Jamie L. Barbara, 32, all of the same address in Alton, and Abriana L. Butler, 22, of St. Louis, were all charged with felonies.
Berton Newton was charged with aggravated battery, a Class 1 felony. Lasha R. Newton was charged with aggravated battery, a Class 2 felony. Barbara was charged with aggravated battery, a Class 3 felony. Butler was charged with aggravated assault, a Class 4 felony.
The cases were presented by the Alton Police Department.
