Skipton s Rev Ruth Harris bids farewell on her retirement

She moved to Skipton with her husband, Paul, five and a half years ago from Wakefield. Ruth has enjoyed her work in the churches and also in the communities. This was especially in the schools, the nursing homes and serving as a trustee of the Greatwood and Horseclose Centre and Carleton School Trust. In addition, Ruth has served as the Skipton Area Dean for the last four and a half years. She said she will miss all those she has got to know during her time here, forming a rich tapestry of life in this part of Craven district. Ruth’s last Sunday is May 9 when she will be at the morning service at both Christ Church and St Mary’s.

The sidewalks and batting cage at the Syracuse Municipal Park were updated as part of the grant funding.
