Charlie i was speaking to someone the other day about a memoir, who felt they had been stolen from having a big life. I thought, thats sad. A big life is not being a celebrity or having a lot of money. A big life is being connected to all that is possible. David i had a journalist friend who asked a woman, what would you do if you were not afraid, this was a job interview. And the woman started crying. There are people held back by fear. Including me. Charlie well, you get into things like marriage, responsibility, mortgages, career. David i always tell my students, two thirds of you will be more boring at age 30 then you are now. People get happier. Peoples happiness is high in their 20s and then bottoms out at 47 which is called having teenage children and then it rises after they have gone away. [laughter]

Called recent book is charlie might, which means continued mission in military jargon. It was about the veterans of. Hose wars to me, its very interesting to spend time with them as i have over the last four years. I embedded in iraq and afghanistan with them and also to spend time with veterans of my era, of the vietnam war. This since theay wars were equally silly, but they have had an easier time than you guys had. Hey were all volunteers many of them volunteered on september 12, 2001. They went over as units and came back as units. Vietnam veterans went over alone and came back alone. Because of the experience of Vietnam Veterans, the doctors and many clinicians
