A tribute to Rosemary Clooney and an ice cream social with live music will kick off a month-jazz extravaganza for the 8th annual Jazz! Carson City Music Festival. Linda Merrell will perform a jazz tribute to Rosemary Clooney on Sunday, July 31, from 2:30-3:30 p.m. at Sierra Place Senior Living, 1111 W. College Parkway in Carson City.
The Mile High Jazz Band is proud to present legendary trombonist Bill Watrous in concert and in a master class on Monday, Aug. 11, at the Carson City Community Center. These events are part of the "Jazz & Beyond: Carson City Music Festival," which runs from Aug. 1 to Aug. 17 and features over 40 events, mostly in the downtown Carson City area.
Don Sebesky, whose dynamic flair as a composer and arranger left an indelible mark on the sound of modern jazz and pop orchestration, died on April 29 in Maplewood, NJ. He was 85.
The Dixon Municipal Band is pleased to announce its premier Spring Concert on Saturday March 4, 2023.
