Columbus police have charged a 19-year-old man with murder after a mortally wounded man was left abandoned in a car outside of the Mount Carmel Franklinton emergency room early Sunday.
Officers followed a vehicle driving at a high rate of speed which stopped about 1:48 a.m. at the emergency room entrance at Mount Carmel Franklin. Other men inside the vehicle jumped out, leaving behind 38-year-old Carl Carroll, of the West Side, who was found inside with gunshot injuries, police said.
Carroll was taken by ambulance to Ohio Health Grant Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead at 4:22 a.m. Sunday.
