Christian Youth Shelter Carinity Orana Celebrates 40 Years Orana was established as Pine Rivers Youth Service’s ‘Hassall House’ in Lawnton in 1981 and is about to celebrate 40 years of service. For thousands of young people, a modest house in northern Brisbane has been the home they didn’t have. Operated by Christian care organisation Carinity, the Orana Youth Shelter is celebrating 40 years of welcoming and supporting homeless youth and those at risk of becoming homeless.

Carinity Orana in Bald Hills in north Brisbane provides crisis accommodation for young people aged 16 to 19 years.
