SapuraOMV agrees to divest its stakes in Peninsular Malaysia producing assets SapuraOMV Upstream (Malaysia) Inc ( SapuraOMV ), has agreed to sell its entire interests, under SOMV Upstream (PM) Inc. in various producing assets, located offshore Peninsular Malaysia to Jadestone Energy PLC, a Singapore-based, London-listed, an independent oil and gas company. These producing assets are PM323, PM329, PM318 and AAKBNLP Production Sharing Contracts (the PM Assets ). The agreed purchase price is USD 9 million, subject to closing adjustments. There are also contingent payments of up to USD 6 million dependent on certain oil price criteria being met. The effective date of the transaction is January 1, 2021. SapuraOMV s average year-to-date net entitlement production of the PM Assets is around 6 thousand barrels oil equivalent per day.

Kuwait Foreign Petroleum Exploration Company (KUFPEC), on behalf of its wholly-owned subsidiary KUFPEC Malaysia (SK-410B) Limited, is pleased to confirm its largest-ever hydrocarbons discovery. This discovery was proven by the Lang Lebah-2 appraisal well in the SK-410B Block located approximately 90 kilometers offshore Sarawak, Malaysia. The appraisal drilling campaign followed the successful drilling of the first exploration well, Lang Lebah-1RDR2, in the SK 410B Block in 2019.
KUFPEC Malaysia (SK-410B) Limited holds a 42.5% working interest under the PSC, with PETRONAS Carigali Sdn. Bhd. and PTTEP HK Offshore Limited (as operator) holding 15% and 42.5% working interests, respectively. PTT Exploration and Production Public Company Limited (PTTEP), through its wholly-owned subsidiary PTTEP HK Offshore Limited (Malaysia Branch) or PTTEP HKO, announced a successful gas discovery from the first exploration well, Dokong-1 in Block SK417, off the coast of Sarawak, offshore Malaysia.
The drilling of Dokong-1 exploration well commenced in November 2020, targeting gas in the sandstone reservoir. The well was drilled to a total depth of 3,810 metres and encountered more than 80 metres of gas column. The second exploration well will be drilled in the middle of this year as part of the exploration campaign.
