In the commons later this afternoon, hes expected to warn that covid i9 deaths could be twice as high over the winter as they were in the first wave of the pandemic. He will say there is no alternative to the measure, which is due to start on thursday, and to end on the 2nd of december. He is expected to stress that he intends to ease restrictions after a month. From thursday, people will be told to stay at home, except for specific reasons. Pubs, restaurants, gyms and nonessential shops will close. But takeaways will be permitted, and meeting indoors or in private gardens will not be allowed. But you will be able to meet one other person from another household outside in a public place.
