GRANADA Granada-Huntley-East Chain (GHEC) students returned to in-person learning Thursday, according to Superintendent/Principal Doug Storbeck.
“It’s nice to see everybody back in school,” he said. “Prior to Thanksgiving, we had been fully in-person for our elementary students, and we were in a hybrid model for grades six through 12. We were a little cautious after the Thanksgiving break when cases were spiking, so we did go to distance learning for the elementary students.”
“We only allowed certain student to attend in person, and that was for students that were having difficulties learning at home or who needed extra support with their academics. That was about a handful of students per grade level. We also had our Career Tech Education (CTE) students come in on Wednesdays during the distance learning process to work in an industrial-tech setting.”
