Okay, the floor is yours. Good morning, board members. I am with the San Francisco District Attorney office of Victim Services. Thank you for having me here today. I am here to give you an overview of the services we provide at the Victim Services division. This funding allows us to serve victims of crime. In the year 2016, our division served over 8,000 victims. The 40 percent increase from 5 years ago. This funding has allowed our division to meet the growing needs of the community. We have been able to expand our services outside of our offices and placed our advocates in the community in order to proviet immediate assistance to our immigrant victims, our lgbtq victims, victims of hate crimes, Human Trafficking victims, campus sex assault victims, our homeless victims, and our most vulnerable the elderly. With this funding, we now have two courthouse dogs that assist our victims, one of whom cleared his calendar and made it today, red is here. Although i think that he is napping. He

I think the reason why those particular buildings wore called out in addition to the peas plaza was because of hits history in the japaneseamerican community. You know, because those probably are buildings that are need protection landmark designation status but within that same paragraph that instead of calling them out specifically just adding some language to say that to add peace plaza as well as i dont know other properties that are noted in the j h s statement as japan cure all what is it the japan resources i dont know how its worded. That building is of what is it . Not only look at those particular buildings but others as well. Community identified buildings of importance. Yeah. Maybe that. Commissioner highland. Can we add those buildings to our work plan. Theyre not on there. Can we audits this resolution even today ask those two buildings to be added to th

Narrator while some cities deal with infrastructure issues, others have concerns about the sustainability of water supplies. Allbee its not just about the sustainability of the assets, its about the sustainability of our water resources. Parts of this country that thought of themselves as water rich 20, 30 years ago, now are discovering that they really are not water rich, they have source supply issues, they have serious questions about how theyre going to accommodate additional growth in their communities. Melosi if we can find alternatives, we can preserve a water supply. Conservation of water is a way of generating more water. Allbee we think that a household can actually reduce its water usage by about 30 . And thats hugely important in terms of the amount of infrastructure that communitys going to require. It was its been the distinct pleasure of my life, frankly, to careful where you move, it can change everything. But if youre going to move to a new place, Annette Young smith is the neighbor that you would pray to have. And i can tell you that she has been a terrific friend and mentor, too. She is still the chair of the board of the cusada gardens. We know its quesada. [laughter] she is still the board. She is still very much at the heart and soul of everything we do. She is our spiritual mentor, and we love her. We truly, truly adore this woman. And id like to introduce her to you and i think youll understand why.
