Alberta Update on Vaccines, Care Home Restrictions – April 26, 2021 At a news conference in Edmonton, Alberta Premier Jason Kenney and Health Minister Tyler Shandro provide an update on the province’s COVID-19 vaccine rollout. They announce that starting April 27, vaccines will be offered to more than 15,000 workers at 136 meat-packing plants across the province. Workers at these facilities are considered an eligible group under Phase 2C of Alberta’s vaccine rollout plan. Premier Kenney also announces his government is easing restrictions on visits to continuing care home residents. As of May 10, residents may have up to 4 visitors indoors and 10 visitors outdoors.
