K9 training held today in Lafayette

The Police Association of Lafayette hosted a K9 Casualty Care Course today.
This training was aimed at helping K9 handlers learn how to treat the dogs for medical emergencies, and to train non-K9 handlers on how to handle the dog in case the handler gets hurt.
Several police agencies are participating.
