Copies of the minutes minutes from the january 12 meeting. The 1st time that i can remember was 20 years ago, when the puc began the program and she was always there to remind us of that. And she was always able to do that and not in a forceful but in an effective way. That was essentially positive and her spirit came through on that. She will definitely be someone that is remembered i will also ask that we adjourned the meeting today in her remembrance. We will take this moment for Public Comment. Good afternoon commissioners, my name is ted knollenberg and i am representing district number 5. Last year i brought before the board of supervisors legislation to require the city of San Francisco to have individual water meters so that it would be easier and more efficient for people to be able to understand their water use. Primarily the fact that if they are responsible for the bill they will pay more attention to the fact of how much water they use. The mayor wants 30,000 new Housing U
Listening to the song today it happened to come on the radio im sorry ms. Jackson i was thinking about her because when i served on the Redevelopment Agency commission that was a song that i used to play around with her because she would always come in and fight for the community and be serious and relentless but get her to smile when you sing that song or other things relative to the community a person with a heart of gold and cared about the community and put her life on the line unapologize lee he discovered a couple of years ago when i saw her with her daughter and granddaughter i used to hang out with a couple of people on the house open kirkwood and her grandson sadly who is no longer with us many of the family members he knew for so many years and spent countless hours and didnt know she was their mother and grandmother it was an amazing delivery and weve made that clear not only a great woman but a deep love for the bayview Hunters Point and so she definitely will be missed i k
I have 2 job titles. Im manager of the tour program as well as i am the historyian of city hall. This building is multifaceted to say the very least its a Municipal Building that operates the city and county of San Francisco. This building was a dream that became a reality of a man by the name of james junior elected mayor of San Francisco in 1912. He didnt have a city hall because it was destroyed in the earth wake of 1906. Construction began in april of 1913. In december 1915, the building was complete. It opened its doors in january 1916. Its a wonderful experience to come to a building built like this. The building is built as a palace. Not for a king or queen. Its built for all people. This building is beautiful art. Those are architecture at the time when city hall was built, San Francisco had an enormous french population. Therefore building a palace in the art tradition is not unusual. Jimmie was an incredible individual he knew that San Francisco had to regain its place in the
Weve been communicating with them, they have been able to redesign their structures for the village so it will not require the removal of overhead wires. The removal of overhead wires would have brought some cost but brought disruption because it would have made the removal period long. Without the need to remove wires, that wont be an issue. Well be able to keep that window closure as soon as possible and get folks to and from the event and around the event as well as possible and well continue to work with the other Transportation Providers to make sure its great for everybody whether they are participating or not. Thanks. Thank you, ed. Its now my pleasure to introduce keith bruce who is the ceo of the super bowl 50 Host Committee. Keith . Thank you, ann. Good morning, everybody.
