It's crazy that the St. Louis Cardinals made the playoffs in 2019 and 2020, then traded for Nolan Arenado and somehow ended up here, a team mired in mediocrity, its fans tired of false hope.
Brewers sign former Cardinal Kolten Wong to 2-year deal

The Brewers have made a splash in the free agent pool, signing former Cardinals second baseman Kolten Wong to a 2-year, $18 million deal with a club option for a third year. The deal was first reported by The Athletic.
The 30-year-old Wong has won Gold Gloves the last two years and is a career .260 hitter with a low strikeout rate. In his eight-year career, his best hitting stats have come when he’s playing at American Family Field.
Wong’s addition likely means the Brewers will put Keston Hiura at first base. Hiura had the worst defensive runs saved by second basemen in the entire league last year, while Wong was ranked in the top five in the MLB.
