HOUSEHOLDS experiencing problems with rubbish collections in the Cardigan area are being asked to show a little patience and understanding for the binmen. The issue of waste not being collected on the designated day by Ceredigion County Council was raised at January’s meeting of Cardigan Town Council. Cllr Catrin Miles, who is also a Ceredigion county councillor, said: “I know there has been a few problems with rubbish collections especially in the north of the town with people expecting collections seven days a week even over Christmas and the new year. “But some of the staff have other jobs, some are self-isolating or ill and often it is only one man driving the lorry and collecting the rubbish.
