Carl Gene Hand, 81, passed away on December 13, 2020, in Amarillo, Texas. He was born to Edgar and Lorene Hand in Groesbeck, Texas on October 10, 1939.
Carl married his soulmate Barbara Kovar Hand in 2000 living together in Richmond, Texas. Carl had one stepdaughter whom he loved as his own and two wonderful grandsons to whom he was known as âPapaâ. Carl retired in 2013 from National Oilwell Varco in manufacturing engineering. He loved fishing, hunting, and golfing. His hobby of Wood Carving brought him much joy in retirement, leaving many special memories with pieces he carved for family and friends. He was very active in sports where he graduated from Missouri City High School Class of 1958.
