US tech giant commits to purchasing 250,000 tonnes of CO2 removals over 10 years from 1PointFive's plant in Texas and confirms investment in DAC developer CarbonCapture Inc
Companies ranging from tech giant Microsoft to Shopify, H&M, and payments company Stripe are investing millions of dollars on carbon removal, the process of extracting carbon dioxide from the atmosphere.
The deal was facilitated by Frontier, a public benefit company started by payment processing company Stripe to accelerate the development of carbon removal.
