Sitting down to write this on Sunday, it s the day after the Darkness into Light virtual walks for Pieta House.
It occurred to me over the last 24 hours that we all need to be a little kinder to ourselves. My sanctuary has always been my garden, even if I’m only pottering and planning it is the very best stress reliever.
The last 14 months, though, I haven’t had that luxury as the nursery has been just so very busy and demanding that the stress levels have been at an all time high. When I needed my sanctuary the most, the demands on my time were such that it just didn’t happen.

Production Lead
An experienced plants person required for Commercial Nursery Production to ensure the quality of both the potted production on the nursery and the ongoing management of the crops.
Must have worked in a related environment either within a nursery or similar.
The ability to plan the schedule for production and report weakness in crops and resolve any underlying issues, ensure that the ongoing production is in line with the demand for crops, both new and existing.
A rewarding full time role within a busy nursery, 40 hours per week.

Gardening: Create a privacy screen without the hassle of building

Screening trees are invaluable as they can create a high screen in your garden that is taller than a hedge and wall, and creates privacy. They are ideal for screening a new house or extension, too. A wall or fence cannot be any higher than two metres tall, or you have to apply for planning permission, but there is no maximum height for a tree.
If you pick the right tree you aren’t going to have a problem with light and sun for your home or garden, or your neighbours either.

The good weather has taken me off course this week. As a family, we got to spend so much time outdoors and the barbecue came out. We have still some work to do in our garden, and this week was all about planning the details.
Anyone who has been tuning into the Caragh Nurseries social media will have seen lots of those details that we have been toying with. Our pizza oven is one of our most used items in the garden and we just love it. It’s definitely not just for pizzas, so that was always staying in our revamp.
