New York fashion designer Mara Hoffman releases a collection of easy classic styles, created in collaboration with natural dyer Cara Marie Piazza
For the last 21 years, the New York designer Mara Hoffman has kept her ardent clientele satiated with earthy, bohemian style and supremely wearable collections. Since 2015, Hoffman has also committed her brand to upholding sustainable practices, implementing more ecologically and ethically responsible measures across the company to create transparency, while also fostering a conversation about consumption habits, in a bid to reorientate the relationship society has with clothing.

The calendar says jockey Jose Ferrer was a year older on Wednesday. Just don t tell that to his rival jockeys or the trainers and owners who continue to benefit from his skill and passion.
Ferrer rode three winners at Tampa Bay Downs in Oldsmar, Fla., on his 57th birthday, then performed 20 pushups in the winner s circle after weighing in following the ninth race, which he won on 3-year-old filly Princess Nina.
“Hell, no,” Ferrer replied when asked if he felt 57. “Didn t you see me doing 20 after the race?”
Undoubtedly, he will feel even younger in a couple of hours when he shares ice cream and cake with his wife Steffi and their sons, Derek and Joseph.

DATELINE Minister Donna Marie Kirkland-Littlejohn, 66, transitioned peacefully to her eternal home Saturday, Nov. 21, 2020 at home, surrounded by her loved ones.
She was born Aug. 23, 1954, in Akron, to Superintendent Calvin Ellis Sr. and Supervisor Leaner Irene Duncan Kirkland. She attended Akron Public Schools until the age of 11, when her father took a position pastoring the Ebenezer Church of God in Christ in Youngstown. Donna then attended Youngstown public schools, graduating from South High School in 1973.
She enjoyed a wonderful career as a cosmetologist earning her managing cosmetologist license from the Lewis, Weinberger and Hill School of Cosmetology in 1987. After obtaining her license, she opened her own beauty salon, “Donna’s Total Care,” where she serviced exclusive clientele while also focusing on her second passion, early childhood education. Donna retired as an educator, working with the MYCAP Head Start program.
