When we think of psychotherapy, it’s easy to imagine a doctor’s office with a well-worn couch and a box of tissues on the table. It’s a cliché for good reason, as this is indeed what most counselling or therapy spaces look like the nice ones might have an essential oil diffuser or an orchid on the table. But Cara Byrne’s office is a little different. Indeed, she calls it her ‘Ticknoffice’ because it is the Dublin Mountains. Cara is known as the Hiking Psychotherapist or @thehikepsych, and her method of helping people is a little different to most.
