The road is also 34 miles from a phone antenna which may make it difficult to contact break down crews or find help.
The area is also susceptible to heavy rainfall and low temperatures making it a disaster over the next couple of months.
Roads in Scotland were featured three times in the top five and five times in the top 10 due to its many rural routes.
However, it was the A489 / A483 near the Welsh village of Caersws which was voted as the second worst road to break down on.

Experts at the breakdown group warn of periods of cold and damp weather can “play havoc with batteries, fuel systems, starter motors, alternators, oil and -where fitted- carburettors”. However, they warn battery issues are the most common cause if vehicles refuse to start on a cold morning.
