The Nigerian Army has said that about 16 people were killed by gunmen in Mushu community of Plateau State, Northcentral region of the country. Mushu is a village bordering Mangu and Bokkos local government areas of the state. This was announced by AFP in a post on social media platform X, formerly Twitter which quoted OPSH spokesperson, Captain Oya James as their source. It was learned that 16 persons were killed by the suspected gunmen when they invaded the village.
Death toll from assailants’ attacks on some communities in Bokkos and Barkin-Ladi Local Government Areas of Plateau State during the weekend has risen to 76. It was earlier reported on Sunday that no fewer than 16 persons were killed in Mushu village in Bokkos LGA. According to Daily Trust, the spokesperson for Operation Safe Haven, Captain Oya James, confirmed the incident, saying the attack took place on Saturday night while residents of the community were asleep.
