Macomb, Ill.- Illinois State Police District 14 Commander, Captain Jon Dively, has announced that ISP will conduct Alcohol Countermeasure Enforcement patrols in Hancock, Henderson, McDonough, and Fulton Counties during October. According to a news release, ACE patrols allow the ISP to focus on preventing, detecting, and taking enforcement action in response to violations associated with impaired driving and illegal transportation or consumption of alcohol or drugs. Officers working the detail will be on the lookout for drivers operating vehicles in an unsafe manner, driving with a suspended or revoked license, transporting open alcoholic beverages, as well as Driving under the Influence, Safety Belt and Child Restraint use, Speeding, Distracted Driving, and All Illinois Vehicle Code and Criminal Violations. Macomb, Ill.- Illinois State Police District 14 Commander, Captain Jon Dively, has announced the results of Special Traffic Enforcement Patrols (sTEP) in McDonough, Warren, and Fulton Counties during November. The enforcement activity included; 13 Occupant Restraint (seatbelt) violations, 1 DUI citation, 103 speeding citations, 6 distracted driving citations and warnings, and 135 total citations, with 50 written warnings. These sTEPs allowed the ISP to provide increased enforcement for impaired driving, occupant restraint, speeding, and distracted driving violations during the National "Click It or Ticket" Campaign.

MACOMB Illinois State Police (ISP) District 14 Commander, Captain Jon Dively, announces the ISP will conduct Nighttime Enforcement (NITE) patrols in Fulton County during March. NITE patrols allow the ISP to focus on preventing, detecting, and taking enforcement action in response to impaired driving and occupant restraint violations especially between the hours of 9:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. The number of unrestrained drivers killed in traffic crashes is significantly higher at nighttime and combined with impaired driving means even more traffic deaths during these critical hours. Officers will strictly enforce violations including: - Driving Under the Influence (DUI); - Safety Belt and Child Restraint use; - Speeding; - Distracted Driving; and, - All Illinois Vehicle Code and Criminal Violations.
