Woman with drug-related warrants in Wabasha and Olmsted Co arrested Wednesday

Maria Garza KAAL-TV Created: April 08, 2021 10:18 AM (ABC 6 News) - The Olmsted County Sheriff s Office arrested a Rochester woman Wednesday who had drug-related warrants in both Wabasha and Olmsted County. The sheriff s office began an investigation in February after receiving information from Wabasha County that it was looking for 34-year-old Marina Garza of Rochester who had a warrant for 5th-degree controlled substance crime. About a week later, in early March, Captain Behrns said the Olmsted County District Court issued warrants for Garza for 1st-degree controlled substance sales, 2nd-degree controlled substance possession and introducing contraband into jail.

Sheriff s Office Captain Scott Behrns says the first incident occurred shortly after 1 PM on Saturday in New Haven Township in the 11,000 block of 110th Avenue Northwest. A 75-year-old man was burning items on his property when the flames got away from him and the Pine Island Fire Department had to respond to extinguish the fire. He was ticketed for not having a permit.
