The ice and the snow may be melting away, but downed trees and power lines continue to create hazardous conditions on metro area roads.

Snow is coming, but how much you’ll see depends very much on where you are.
The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory from 3 p.m. Tuesday through 4 a.m. Wednesday. During this period, snow is expected in locations above 500 feet elevation. Downtown Portland sits at about 20 feet, Capitol Highway crosses Interstate 5 at about 600 feet, Council Crest’s elevations is 1,073 and Rocky Butte is at 615.
