Nbcs sarah dalof starts our coverage tonight. Reporter on the first day of a newly established route monday morning, tragedy aboard amtrak 501. Things started to tip over and as it was going around and then all of a sudden just ended up on side, and everything went dark and stuff started flying around and that was it. Then it stopped. Reporter a stunned motorist watched the train derail. One car falling to the interstate below, another dangling from the overpass. I was right in front of it really.
