On the Feb. 13, 2024 Special Election, San Juan Island School District #149 Proposition No. 1 - Capital Levy For School Facilities & Technology received a majority of votes in favor of the levy. Of the roughly 1800 votes, 75.84% said “yes” to the levy. Orcas Island School Dist #137 Proposition No. 1 - School Programs and Operations Replacement Levy also received a majority of votes in favor of the levy, with 75.57% of the 1,225 votes saying “yes” to the levy.
