REPRESENTING 3 MILLION KIDS WHO HAVE BEEN ON THE BENCH. STUDENTS ATHLETES DROPPED OFF THOUSANDS OF HANDWRITTEN LETTERS TO GOVERNOR GAVIN NEWSOM. I CAME FROM A BACKGROUND WHERE MANY STUDENTS DID NOT HAVE A WAY OUT. IT IS HARD FOR ME. THIS WAS SUPPOSED TO BE MY TIME. I WOULD BE THE FIRST MCMILLAN TO EVER GO TO COLLEGE. EMOTIONAL AND HEARTFELT TESTIMONIES WITH MORE THAN 12,000 LETTERS SHEDDING A LIGHT ON HOW THE YEAR HAS PLAYED OUT FOR ATHLETES. RECENTLY, SHE FOUND OUT SHE WOULD NOT BE ABLE TO PLAY FOR OREGON STATE.
