GARDEN ROUTE NEWS - The Garden Route proved to be a top contender in the City Nature Challenge held from 30 April to 3 May.
The City Nature Challenge is an international competition with the goal of finding and documenting plants and wildlife species in cities across the world.
At close of the event at midnight on 3 May, the Garden Route was in 10th place for logging 19 977 observations, and in 5th position for an impressive 3 073 species recorded. In total, 244 observers took part in the event, with an average of 81,87 observations per observer.
