CAPE GIRARDEAU, MO (WSIL) Authorities have released the names involved of a deadly accident that occurred on I-55 in Cape Girardeau Wednesday afternoon.
On Wednesday, February 8, 2023, the Cape Girardeau Fire Department announced the lowering of the city’s PPC rating from a 4/4X to a 3/3X. This recognition of improvement in our fire safety and response capability is related to the work for our city organization to invest in our fire prevention and response infrastructure and can have an added benefit to residents and businesses in Cape Girardeau.
The Cape Girardeau Fire Department is looking to sell engraved Memorial Bricks Pavers to remember and honor retired and late firefighters who were active with the Cape Girardeau Fire Department.
Anyone who wants to help give back and pay
The event will honor the 148 firefighters across the United States who died in the line of duty in 2021, including BCFPD Assistant Chief Bryant Gladney.
