HYANNIS – Cape Cod Healthcare is supporting the critical nutritional need of the community through the financial support of local organizations supplying food and ready-made meals to Cape Codders. Cape Cod Healthcare has awarded $55,000 in grants, as a part of the Cape Cod Healthcare Community Benefits program, to three nonprofits, serving thousands of individuals and families in the region who suffer from food insecurity, a critical factor in maintaining good health.
Cape Cod Healthcare also awarded a $25,000 grant to the Barnstable Public Schools Meal/Service Program, which has provided grab-and-go breakfast and lunch to all Barnstable youth since the spring, when in-person learning was halted at public schools due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
