Despite last year’s splashy release of next-gen consoles, it’s clear the gaming landscape is still in a transitional phase between console generations. Just look at blockbusters like
Still, we’re fast approaching the point at which PS4 and Xbox One players are left behind, with more than a dozen major games on the horizon planned as next-gen-only releases.
Granted, most of those are also coming out on PC, since the technical capacity to run cutting-edge games has and always will be present on that ever-evolving platform. And while this list is based on currently-available information, platforms aren’t always set in stone. To wit:

Capcom s Pragmata Gets a Major Delay
Capcom s
Pragmata received one of the most compelling trailers shown during June s PlayStation 5 digital event, but it seems that the game won t be released for a very long time. During a PS5 sizzle reel released for CES, it was revealed that the game s 2022 release window has now changed to 2023. Barring major delays for any of the other games shown, that makes
Pragmata the most far-off title featured in the video. The news will likely come as a bit of a disappointment for fans of Capcom s output. Fortunately, that means the game should be available on next-gen platforms when they ve become a bit easier to come by!
Project Athia, Ghostwire: Tokyo, Pragmata Release Windows Revealed Jan 11, 2021 18:28 EST
The release windows of several upcoming PlayStation 5 games like Square Enix s Project Athia have been revealed today.
At the end of its CES 2021 Digital Press Event, Sony revealed the release windows for several upcoming PlayStation 5 titles, including a few that did not have a confirmed release window, like Square Enix s Project Athia, which is releasing in January 2022, Tango Gameworks Ghostwire: Tokyo, releasing in October 2021, and Capcom s Pragmata, which is releasing in 2023 and not in 2021 as previously announced.
Project Athia s release window is of interest to Final Fantasy fans as well. The fact that the game releases in January 2022 may suggest that Final Fantasy XVI could be releasing this year, as Square Enix has currently no other big title in the pipeline for 2021 and the game s launch is said to be much closer than most expect.
