The Diana Interview: Revenge of a Princess focuses on her controversial 1995 interview
Nine Network in Australia and US cablenet Reelz are among the international channels to have acquired a two-part ITV documentary on the late Diana Princess of Wales.
The Diana Interview: Revenge of a Princess was produced by Minnow Films for UK commercial broadcaster ITV and centres on the controversial BBC Panorama interview with Diana in 1995.
TV2 in Norway, Servus TV in Austria, RTL Netherlands and TVNOW in Germany have all picked up the 2×60’ doc from UK-based coproduction funding agency and distributor Drive, which is handling international sales.
Meanwhile, Drive has sold true crime series Poisonous Liaisons (13×60’) to AMC Networks’ streaming service Sundance Now in North America.
Reed Midem reveals Digital MIPTV details
Paris-headquartered events organizer Reed Midem revealed new details Thursday (Jan. 21) for Digital MIPTV, the online edition of the spring TV market typically held in Cannes.
The 58th edition of the conference runs April 12 to 16.
This year’s digital program will offer pre-scheduled one-to-one matchmaking, thematic speed meetings, workshops, mentoring and breakout sessions with buyers and commissioners.
Digital MIPTV will connect the MIPDoc and MIPFormats communities for the first time online via Reed Midem’s one-to-one matchmaking platform.
Organizers are offering three levels of participation: a Digital Pass for access to the week-long program; One-to One Distribution Market for doc, formats and factual distributors and buyers (April 13 to 15); and One-to-One Coproductions & Development Forum for doc, formats and factual producers, distributors, buyers and commissioners (April 13 to 15).
