The corporate watchdog has slammed a request in court to let Melissa Caddick s husband and young son live off a staggering $4,880-a-week sum.
A lawyer for the Australian Securities and Investment Commission took aim at a bid to prop up the lifestyle of the missing businesswoman s closest family at the Federal Court on Tuesday.
Anthony Koletti was dependent upon Melissa Caddick s income and is therefore entitled to access some of her assets to pay his ordinary living expenses.
But the court heard deeply aggrieved investors oppose paying for Ms Caddick s family members, as it could reduce the amount of money they eventually recover.
