With OTA’s now starting, the Jets are essentially out of luck trying to sign a good, veteran, backup quarterback; which means more likely than not, they’ll have to trade for one. Many ‘experts’ have suggested the team goes after Bears QB Nick Foles, but I would prefer if they went another route - if not just due to the enigma that Foles is. Foles has a similar aura of former Jets QB Ryan Fitzpatrick, where he seemingly always manages to find himself as the starting quarterback when initially starting the season as the backup. Besides that, I also don’t believe he would be as helpful as a veteran presence as some have suggested.
