Rutherford County, TN - The United Way of Rutherford and Cannon Counties is gearing up for its annual signature fundraising event, Red, White, and Bayou. This year’s event will take place on May 5th, 2023 at The Grove at Williamson Family Farm.
This year’s event is co-chaired by Francela Salas, Community Relations Coordinator at Redstone Federal Credit Union, and Robin Seay, Real Estate Agent with PARKS Realty. The two are certainly a dynamic duo in all areas of life, work, and phil .

“United We Style Stayin’ Alive” featuring a definite 70’s flair.
United We Style 2021 was a hit with almost 200 in attendance along with approximately $10,000 raised for the dozens of organizations receiving funds from United Way of Rutherford and Cannon Counties.
The night featured “hot stuff” from Jonny Gowow.
United We Style 2021 also welcomed back 2018 Jonesborough National Story Slam winner and Grand Slam Champion of the Peabody Award-winning Moth storytelling series, Mark Lamb.
The stories were so popular that this year that segment included tales from Sarah Alzabet, Leah Hulan, Eric L. Meriwether, and Shannon Wheeler.

Along with his dog Loki, MTSU student veteran Orrin Farmer visits the MTSU Veterans Memorial site outside the Tom H. Jackson Building on the west side of campus recently. An aerospace professional pilot major, Farmer, who was in the U.S. Marine Corps for four years, was one of dozens of military-centered students who received assistance from a United Way of Rutherford and Cannon Counties $10,000 grant in 2020, providing help to he and his wife during the stressful COVID-19 pandemic.
