A new study has found that cannabis users who contracted Covid-19 had significantly lower mortality and fewer complications associated with the disease than non-users.

On March 11, news that Organigram and tobacco giant
British American Tobacco (NYSE:BTI) formed a business alliance caused the stock to spike almost 40% that day. British American Tobacco (BAT) will take a 19.9% stake in Organigram for an investment equivalent to about $175 million. The investment was made at an Organigram stock price of about $3 per share, slightly above where shares closed the previous day.
Other positive news for the Canadian grower came later in the month, when the Government of New Brunswick decided to continue the operation of marijuana retailer Cannabis New Brunswick. The government-run retailer has reported growing profitability, giving authorities good reason to continue supporting it rather than turn it private.
