Number of modifications made at the Prince George Outdoor Ice Oval

Skating on the Outdoor Oval is a longstanding tradition for many Prince George residents, however, it might look a little different this year.
“Because we are following provincial guidelines, we’ve made a few changes,” said Kathy Lewis, President of the Outdoor Ice Oval Society, “one thing we’ve done is we are not opening Canfor House, which is the building for people to go in and put their skates on.”
To replace the building space, the society has obtained additional picnic tables for people to use which will allow for proper social distancing.
