First of all, I would like to thank the Team-BHP moderators for approving my application and allowing me to be a part of this amazing community.
Prologue: It had been almost twelve years since my friend had made any changes to his garage which had a Hyundai Santro Xing GL (Best looking hatch of its time) and now was the time for an upgrade with a budget of INR 9L. The hunt began in the month of September 2020 after he came back form Bhubaneswar and about 3 months later in December, after visiting several showrooms in Vadodara and going through many reviews on the internet, thoroughly reading several car review threads on Team-BHP, he decided that the 2020 Volkswagen Polo Highline Plus MT 1.0 TSI will be the new member of his family.

Fourth-generation Czech sedan and wagon to head upmarket in price and spec
When the new 2021 Skoda Octavia finally arrives Down Under in late April, it will be both significantly higher-tech and more expensive.
First revealed in November 2019 and then delayed in Europe due to a software bug, the fourth-generation Czech mid-sizer will again be available in three grades (Ambition, Style and RS) and two body styles (sedan/liftback and wagon), for a total of six model variants.
So, for now, the 2021 Skoda Octavia range opens with the 110TSI Ambition sedan at $30,390 plus on-road costs – $5500 more than its direct predecessor ($24,890 plus ORCs), which helped make the MkIII Octavia Skoda’s top-selling model and Australia’s second-most popular mid-size car behind the Toyota Camry.

The 2021 Skoda Scala model range price list makes for some interesting reading. In fact, the brand’s local team claims the pricing layout is “formidable”.
I wouldn’t necessarily go that far. You can get some pretty compelling alternatives in the form of Hyundai i30, Kia Cerato, Mazda3, Toyota Corolla or even the Volkswagen Golf. But it is interestingly specified.
The entry point to the range is simply known as the 110TSI, and it is the only model available with a manual transmission (six-speed manual: $26,990 drive-away) or the seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission ($28,990 drive-away). Those are official prices from Skoda, and they’re correct at the time of publication.
