WASHINGTON â Roderick M. (Butch) Wyant, Jr., a lifelong resident of Washington, passed away peacefully on June 30, 2021, at Candlewood Valley Heath and Rehab Center in New Milford.
Butch was born on September 4, 1942, in New Milford to the late Roderick M. Wyant, Sr., and Alphield (Olson) Wyant.
At a young age, Butch fell in love with anything with a motor, knowing exactly what year, make and model it was, and could drive or operate it better than most. For several years, Butch worked for the town of Washington Highway Department, as well driving bus for the Region 12 school system, wearing his famous train engineer hat.
