Students and parents excited to return to classroom

LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) â After nearly a year at home, some of Fayette County s elementary students are back in the classroom.
On Monday, the school district opened up their buildings to Kindergarten through second graders. It has just been filled with excitement and just positive energy today, said Candis Morgan.
Morgan took the day off work so she could give her daughter, Royalty, all the attention as she entered in-person Kindergarten. Today s probably been the best day of my year so far, said Morgan.
After parents spent months guiding their young children through online learning, Monday was much quieter at the house.
