With so many crises converging upon us simultaneously, it is easy for us to become overwhelmed or depressed or even throw up our hands in resignation. But my message to you today is that if there was ever a moment in the history of our country where despair was not an option, this is that time. [applause] if there was ever a moment where we had to effectively analyze the competing political and social forces which define this historical period, this is that time. If there was ever a moment when we needed to stand up and fight against the forces of oligarchy and authoritarianism, this is that time. [applause] and, if there was ever a moment when we needed a new vision to bring our people together in the fight for justice, decency and Human Dignity, this is that time. We have a president who believe he is is above the law which se he is not, and refuses to be held accountable, which he will be. For two years under republican control, President Trump and hiS Administration were able to evade accountability and transparency with the American People. I am standing here with my colleagues today to say that era is over. President trump has vowed to fight all the subpoenas from all of the house committees. He has claimed absolute immunity to prevent witnesses from showing up. He has loosely and inappropriately invoked executive privilege to prevent us from seeing millions of pages of documents. Despite the continued stonewalling, delay tactics, and distraction by trump and the administration, we will move forward with holding this president accountable to the American People. The resolution

And then in new york, that was really headed by a man by the name of roscoe conkling, who became a United States senator. So this is the struggle, and you see then, of course, the person who ends up shooting president garfield, deranged, of course, Charles Guiteau, but proudly screaming with the gun in his hand, im a stalwart. Of the Pennsylvania State archives. The state archives is the repository for the public records of pennsylvania, particularly those from state government. We have some responsibility of the county records. We hold records and that amounts to 250 million pages of material throughout our storage tower. We will be looking at some the nucleararding accident at three mile island. The accident started on march 28, 1979. There was a partial meltdown of the reactor in the facility. Its located south of harrisburg, about five or six miles. Is in thety susquehanna river. In 1979, i was a freshman about 10 miles west of harrisburg. Is information was coming out in bits and pieces. People were becoming concerned about the children. Decided to get in the car and leave the area. The accident occurred on wednesday. College,ay at professors and students started leaving. By friday, the vast majority of the campus was empty. I did not go home. I lived in york and it was the same distance as the college
