Two Child Abuse Suspects Arrested After Forcing Child To Sleep Outside In Tent Two child abuse suspects were arrested Tuesday after they allegedly forced their child to sleep outside multiple times, officials said. On Monday around 10:30 p.m. deputies responded to a call for service to a residence on the 19900 block of Christopher Lane, Santa Clarita, regarding possible child abuse, said Candice Gonzales, a spokesperson for the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station. “It was reported by an unknown informant that the child was being abused at the location,” Gonzales said. Upon further investigation, deputies discovered the child had been forced to sleep outside in a tent numerous times as a form of discipline, without access to food, water and indoor utilities, according to Gonzales.

On Tuesday around 9:25 p.m. a deputy conducted a patrol check of a business parking lot located on the 24200 block of Valencia Boulevard after receiving reports of a possible reckless driver, said Candice Gonzales, a spokesperson for the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station. “He observed a white Chevy doing ‘doughnuts’ near other parked vehicles with multiple people watching,” Gonzales said. The vehicle caused skid mark patterns of rubber in a parking lot, loud engine revving and white smoke emitting from the friction of the tires, according to officials.

One Arrested For Felony Vandalism After Cutting Gas Line, Stealing Fuel One individual was arrested for vandalism after cutting a hole in the gas line of a vehicle and stealing fuel. On Tuesday, Dec. 1, deputies from the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station responded to the 28000 block of Smyth Drive for a reported vandalism, according to Candice Gonzales, a spokesperson for the station. “It was reported (the victim’s) white GMC had been vandalized by a hole being cut into the gas tank and fuel line, causing the vehicle’s gas being stolen,” Gonzales said. “While searching through surveillance footage, the deputy discovered on an earlier date, an unknown White Toyota with unique vehicle identifiers driving into camera view and parking next to the vehicle.”
