Additional flooding is possible across the Ozarks through Thursday morning. Flood warnings remain in effect after heavy rains moved through southern Missouri. Severe weather also impacted parts of southern Missouri Wednesday morning with numerous tornado warnings and severe thunderstorm warnings issued.
According to storm reports submitted to the National Weather Service, there was flooding in Branson on Veterans Boulevard and Roark Valley Rd. There were reports of 2 and a half inches of rain in 30 minutes near Table Rock Lake dam; there were flood waters running through downtown Reeds Spring; water rescues took place in Stone County on Highway 173 north of 76 with several vehicles in the water; numerous homes were flooded near Highways 176 and 160; multiple trees and light towers were blown down in Stone County a mile east of Silver Dollar City; and there were large trees down near Shepherd of the Hills Outdoor Theatre in Taney County.
