Kenora’s Ontario Provincial Police responded to significantly fewer calls in 2020 than they did in 2019 and whether that’s due to the COVID-19 pandemic or new programming introduced is tough to determine for the detachment’s top cop.
Kenora OPP responded to 16,093 calls for service in 2020, which is 2,601 fewer than 2019’s numbers. 2020’s record aligns with 2018 and 2017 when police responded to 16,947 and 16,155 calls respectively.
