Canandaigua Democrats announce city slate for November election

CANANDAIGUA The Canandaigua City Democratic Committee is announcing its slate for the November general election.
The Democrats have endorsed current City Councilmember Dan Unrath, who represents Ward 2, to run for mayor. Republican Bob Palumbo is seeking reelection.
The committee also unanimously endorsed incumbent At-large Councilmembers Stephen Uebbing, Renée Sutton, and Thomas Lyon, as well as newcomer Sim Covington Jr.
Longtime incumbent Councilmember Jim Terwilliger is retiring and not seeking reelection.
Uebbing and Sutton are incumbents seeking re-election. Lyon is an incumbent, but was appointed to City Council last year. Covington is running his first campaign.
