POND INLET, Nunavut - An environmental assessment agency in Nunavut has recommended that an iron ore mine on the northern tip of Baffin Island be allowed to increase its production by roughly two million tonnes this year, staving off expected job losses.
IQALUIT - A company that runs the largest mining operation in Nunavut says it has giventens of millions of dollars in contracts to Inuit firms in the hamlet of Sanirajak, but some residents say they don’t know where that money has gone.
