The pandemic continues to take a toll on sporting events across the country, and the Canadian Native Fastball Championship is no exception.
This year’s tournament that was scheduled to take place in Prince George has been postponed.
Initially, the event was supposed to take place from July 31st to August 2nd, 2021, but it has been rescheduled for August 2022.
The Canadian Native Fastball Association explained that BC’s vaccination rollout plan did give them hope for the tournament.
However, the poor economy would make it difficult for organizers and teams to raise enough funding to participate and host the event this year.
